Client: International EPC Contractor
Sector: Refining · Petrochemical · Sulfur recovery · Hydrogen & syngas
Technology: Gilgamesh · 3D Digital Twin · Cinematic rendering · Interactive VR
Engagement: Marketing / commercial digital twin, extensible to training
A specialized refining EPC contractor turned a marketing requirement into a strategic, reusable digital asset — one that now extends from sales into training and operations.
The Challenge
The client wanted an innovative way to present its pre-configured modular units to the market: high-quality marketing videos, clear visualization of proprietary process technology (including internals and dynamic behaviour), a centralized visual repository for plant documentation, and a “marketing digital twin” reusable as a value-added deliverable to end customers.
The Kairos3D Solution
Kairos3D built a Gilgamesh-based digital twin of the client’s modular units. A high-end cinematic layer produced advanced renders, cutaways of equipment internals and animated process flows for commercial and licensing support. Beyond video, the full twin became a reusable interactive environment — navigable units, internal views of reactors, columns and burners, centralized access to PFDs, P&IDs and data sheets, and layered process parameters — deployable on workstations, touch screens or VR.
Results
- Stronger commercial positioning — Immersive, technology-driven storytelling for business development.
- Clear technology differentiation — Cutaways and animated process flows make proprietary know-how visible.
- One asset, many uses — The same twin serves marketing, documentation and training.
- One asset, many uses — The same twin serves marketing, documentation and training.
- A new value proposition — The contractor delivers not only a plant, but its digital twin.
- Path to operations — Extensible to operator onboarding, SOP learning and emergency simulation.
Why Kairos3D
Gilgamesh let the client transform a traditional marketing need into a multipurpose digital asset — a commercial showcase that evolves into a virtual SME environment for onboarding, SOPs and troubleshooting, cutting training costs and reliance on on-site experts.
