For a newly commissioned FPSO vessel, a global energy major needed operators to familiarize themselves with the plant before ever boarding.
The Challenge
The client needed a virtual environment for pre-boarding familiarization: letting senior operators virtually mentor newcomers, capturing operational best practices, and providing structured guidance on operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and emergencies — while reducing onboarding time and offshore training logistics. It had to simulate spatial awareness, equipment positioning, access routes and safety constraints realistically.
