Client: Major Rail Transportation Technology Company
Sector: Rail transportation · Rolling stock · Driver training · Technical marketing
Technology: Gilgamesh · 3D Digital Twin · Interactive simulation · Marketing video
Engagement: Multi-phase — simulator → marketing twin → training reuse
A rail technology leader’s collaboration with Kairos3D shows the full arc of a reusable digital twin — from procedural simulator, to marketing of a wireless innovation, and back to training.
The Challenge
The initial need was an interactive 3D simulator of a train driver desk: explore the desk, identify instruments, understand each command and execute guided procedures (parking, transit operations). A second need followed — communicate an innovative wireless signal-transmission technology clearly and visually. Finally, the client wanted to reuse that same digital asset as the basis for training on the new desk commands.
The Kairos3D Solution
Kairos3D delivered a progressive Gilgamesh journey. A driver-desk simulator prototype supported learn-by-doing: familiarization, instrument identification, guided interaction, procedure execution and error feedback.
A digital twin of the new desk and wireless signal transmission powered a marketing video showing how signals propagate along the train and how reduced cabling cuts weight and cost. The same desk model was then repurposed into a training application for the new commands — one asset serving simulation, marketing and training.
Results
- Interactive driver-desk simulator — Realistic instrumentation familiarization and procedure practice.
- Innovation made visible — Wireless signal transmission explained through a dynamic marketing video.
- Weight and cost story — Reduced cabling benefits communicated clearly to stakeholders.
- Asset repurposing — The same desk twin moved from marketing to training.
- Higher ROI on 3D — No rebuilding assets per use case; multiple departments benefit from one foundation.
Why Kairos3D
The case proves one of Gilgamesh’s strongest values: repurposing a single 3D digital twin across simulation, technical marketing and operator training — reducing duplication and multiplying return on the initial 3D investment.
